YOLO Grill is back in business after a customer who loved the burgers decided to take it over.

The restaurant’s original owner, Aaron Cline, closed the restaurant at 803 N. West St. in early October. He’d opened and closed it in spurts since the summer, citing personal reasons.

Customer Chris Byars bought some of the equipment from Cline and reopened the restaurant on Monday, serving the same menu of made-from-scratch burgers, onion rings, fries and more.

“I’m just a home cook who saw an opportunity to do what I enjoy,” said Byars, who has never had a restaurant before.

Byars has expanded the hours and now will keep YOLO open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. For more information, call 316-425-5252.
