Dempsey’s Burger Pub is open.

The new restaurant is in the former John Browns space in Clifton Square, 3700 E. Douglas, and is an offshoot of an already popular restaurant that operates in Lawrence. The owner is Steven Gaudreau, a Wichita native and restaurant entrepreneur who decided to expand into his hometown.

The menu features unique burgers topped with gourmet ingredients, a salmon burger, a portabello burger and a quinoa burger. It also offers regular fries, truffle fries, sweet potato fries and fries tossed in chili garlic oil, plus a long list of homemade sauces, from ketchup to truffle cream to roasted garlic aioli. Customers also can order chicken wings, fish and chips, salads and more.

Dempsey’s has a full bar and an extensive craft beer menu. It’s open from 11 a.m to 2 a.m. daily and serves food until 10 p.m.
