Wichita Eagle Haunted Food Trucks is happening tonight – rain or shine
According to the weather forecast, it MIGHT be a little soggy during tonight’s Haunted Food Truck event at the Wichita Eagle.
Then again, it might not be. You never know in Kansas.
We’re going ahead with the event, rain or shine. And if you find yourself caught in the rain, we’ll have Wichita Eagle umbrellas for sale for $10, cash.
It’s from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight, Oct. 30, in the back parking lot, which is on Rock Island between Douglas and Waterman.
We have nine trucks on board: Lynn’s Curbside Cookout is a last-minute addition to the already long list of participating food trucks. Also signed up: The Flying Stove, B.S. Sandwich Press, The Kamayan Truck, Big Chill Ice Cream, Brown Box Bakery, Garden of Eatin’, Funky Monkey Munchies and Ms. Tosha’s Chicken.
We’ll also have trunk-or-treating for the kids and chit-chat for the grownups: Just like last year, the event will have trunk-or-treating for the kids and staff members in costumes. Attendees are invited to give their costumes a dress rehearsal, too. Several Eagle staff members, including me, Carrie Rengers, Annie Calovich and Suzanne Perez Tobias, also will be there greeting people.
