Halloween is just one day away, and a few local restaurants are advertising discounts and specials for Saturday visitors. Some are getting started today, Friday.
Among the ones I’ve spotted:
Avivo, 2441 N. Maize Road: Customers who wear costumes to this pizzeria will get 20 percent off their bill on Saturday.
Sonic: The drive-in chain is offering 50 cent corn dogs all day on Saturday.
Olive Garden: Kids eat for $1 through Friday with a the purchase of an adult entree and with a printable coupon, available on Olive Garden’s Facebook page.
College Hill Creamery, 3700 E. Douglas: This Clifton Square ice cream shop is having a Halloween open house from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and will offer free coffee and pumpkin coffee cake.
Chipotle: The burrito chain is all about additive free-food, so to get people thinking about it in a Halloween sort of way, it will give a $3 burrito to anyone who adds something unnecessary to their costume. The deal is good from 5 p.m. to close on Saturday. (Chipotle’s suggestions included a bearded fairy and a scuba skeleton.)
IHOP: Kids 12 and under can get a free scary face pancake from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.
Baskin-Robbins: The ice cream chain will celebrate Halloween and its birthday by offering any scoop for $1.31 on Saturday.
Krispy Kreme, 7777 E. Central: Customers in costume can get a free doughnut of their choice all day on Saturday. Limit one doughnut per customer.
Outback Steakhouse: Kids can eat for $2.99 through Nov. 1 with the purchase of an adult entree and with a coupon available on the restaurant’s website, www.outback.com.
McAlister’s Deli, 306 N. Rock Road, 7130 W. Maple: Kids in costume eat free on Saturday.
Chuck E. Cheese’s, 3233 N. Rock Road: Kids in costume get 50 free ticket at Chuck E. Cheese’s during October.
