In case you didn’t know, I keep a handy-dandy list of restaraunt openings and closings on my blog. Sometimes it’s more updated than others, but my fall resolution is to keep it current.

On Friday, I gave it a thourough overhaul and noticed several interesting things.

▪ A couple of restaurants quietly opened without my noticing, including the east-side Bricktown Brewery 2035 N. Rock Road, and Rolled Donuts & Meat Pies, a shop at 1050 W. 47th St. S., which is turning out wild-flavored donuts like Nutella cream and and savory pies with fillings like broccoli, chicken and Swiss.

▪ The second location of Meddy’s, which owner Alex Harb originally hoped to have open at 21st and Greenwich by this month, has had some construction delays. Work is now underway, he said, but it’ll likely be late this year or early 2016 before it’s ready to go.

▪ Wichita should see the opening of several exciting new restaurants over the next couple of months, including La Chinita in Old Town Square this Friday, Sept. 25, and Georges French Bistro at 4816 E. Central and Dean & Deluca, 21st and Rock sometime this fall.

▪ There’ve also been several sad goodbyes over the last several months after the closings of Metro Grill, Bella Luna in College Hill, Ad Astra in Strong City, Squeek’s at 734 N. Waco and more.

Let me know if you notice something missing.
