Fall is a busy time for food fun, and a couple more events are on the calendar for this weekend.

A new evening food truck rally organized by the owners of Funky Monkey Munchies is scheduled for Friday. The rally will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wichita WaterWalk at 515 S. Main and will be the first of what Lisa and Eddi Palacios hope will become monthly “Night at the Fountains” rallies. It will feature 10 Wichita food trucks, including Big Chill Ice Cream, Brickhouse BBQ, B.S. Sandwich Press, Funky Monkey Munchies, Hopperoni Espress, Kona Ice, The North Shore Shave Ice, Let'm Eat Brats, Lynn's Curbside Cookout, The Flying Stove, Brown Box Bakery and The Kamayan Truck. Xclusive Events, which serves adult beverages, also will be there, as will retail fashion truck Cricket Alley. Organizers have hired Chase Groth to perform from 5 to 6 p.m. and cover band Edge of Grace to perform between 6 and 8 p.m. Belly dancers also will perform.

Wine and western wear will be the focus of the seventh annual Old Cowtown Wine Mosey, a wine tasting at the museum at 1865 W. Museum Blvd. that includes a barbecue dinner by the Wichita Wagonmasters and appetizers by the Doubletree by Hilton Wichita Airport. The event will last from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and will include stagecoach rides, gunfight re-enactments, saloon girls, antique bowling and a live auction. Attendees are encouraged to wear casual or western attire and comfortable shoes. All proceeds will go to supporting and maintaining the museum collection and to educate grade school children on Wichita in the 1870s. Tickets are $50 a person at www.WichitaTix.com or by calling 316-350-3323.
