Dining With Denise Neil

Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is back in Wichita. Here’s where to see it:

Prepare, Wichita. In the coming days, you might just spot a giant wiener rolling down the road.

The famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile — a 27-foot-long hot dog-shaped vehicle that travels the country promoting the brand — is back in town as of today and will be making stops around Wichita through Sunday.

It’s being piloted by hotdoggers “Miles of Smiles Emma” and “Relish Raena,” who will not only be passing out wiener whistles but also will be spewing wiener puns galore. In fact, according to a news release, the Wienermobile workers can’t wait to ketchup with Wichita.

The Wichita stops will be among the Wienermobile’s last before it heads to the second annual Wienie 500 race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event, which is May 22, will feature all of the company’s six Wienermobiles racing around the track.
