A popular summertime food event that Intrust Bank Arena revived in 2024 after a five-year break returns this weekend

Wingapalooza, an all-you-can-eat chicken wing event, will be set up on the arena’s main floor from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Ticketholders will be able to wander between booths staffed by local restaurants and chefs and sample their wings. More than 20 local restaurants have signed up to provide food this year, including Jumbo’s Beef & Brew, Bronx Pizza & Pints, Rib Crib, The Nelson’s Kitchen, Willies Wings, Top Golf and Two Brothers BBQ.

It will also include a beer garden and music by a live DJ.

The various restaurants will be competing for two-different wing awards: a people’s choice and a judges’ choice. Last year, Willie’s Wings was the people’s winner, and the judges chose Top Golf.

General admission tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Get advance tickets at www.selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328, or in person at the Select-A-Seat Box Office at Intrust Bank Arena.
