Remember back in the early 2010s, when self-serve frozen yogurt shops like Orange Leaf and CherryBerry were on every corner?

The number of such shops, where people can fill cups full of flavored frozen yogurt then pile on the toppings, is much smaller now: The roster really includes just PeachWave at 10096 E. 13th St. and Yo-B at 303 N. Mead.

But a new one has just arrived in Andover. Catrina and Justin Hubbard, both Boeing employees, have opened a franchise of an Oregon-based frozen yogurt business called Cuppa Yo at 626 S. Andover Road, in a strip center near the Dillons there.

The shop, whose founders just started franchising last year, features a bank of frozen yogurt machines. People fill their cups as full as they want with yogurt and toppings then pay by the ounce. The new Cuppa Yo features both inside and outside seating.

The shop is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The Hubbards say they plan to eventually open four Cuppa Yo stores in the area and are thinking about expanding into Derby and the Wichita State University area.
