A list of Wichita restaurants offering brunches, specials and giveaways on Father’s Day
Restaurants don’t tend to make as big of a deal about Father’s Day as they do about Mother’s Day — or even Easter. (Sorry, dad.)
But a few restaurants have planned special meals for Father’s Day 2023, which is on Sunday.
Here are some of them:
Brunch buffets and food specials
6S Steakhouse, 6200 W. 21st St., 316-361-6667: This fine-dining restaurant is offering a 32-ounce tomahawk steak with choice of side plus choice of scotch, whiskey, a cigar or a dessert for $100. Restaurant hours are 4:30 to 9 p.m. Make reservations at www.6ssteakhouse.com
Doo-Dah Diner, 206 E. Kellogg, 316-265-7011: The popular downtown restaurant is offering a special Father’s Day buffet that includes a prime rib carving station, crab benedict, deviled eggs, bananas foster pancakes, monkey bread and more. It’s $36 for adults, $15 for ages 6-10 and free for ages 5 and under. Owner Timirie Shibley’s DooDads Permanent Jewelry business also will be set up at the restaurant and will accept walk-ins. Gabby’s Peruvian Restaurant, 1002 S, Seneca, 316-613-8050: This restaurant is offering specials like jalea (a fried seafood platter), mussels a la Chalaca, and a trio of ceviches for Father’s Day. Also, beer will be 50% off.
PourHouse ICT, 711 E. Douglas Ave, 316-260-4897 This restaurant is reviving its brunch menu just in time for Father’s Day and will be open at 10 a.m. serving brunch specials including a Donut Smash Burger or a ribs-n-waffle plate.
The Sandbox at Derby, 2412 N Rock Road, Derby, 316-400-5454 : This venue is offering a brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that’s $30 a person or $15 for kids 11 and under. The brunch will also offer both a bloody Mary Bar and a mimosa bar. No reservations are required.
Side Pockets, 614 S. Tyler: This restaurant and pool hall is offering a Father’s Day steak dinner special that’s $16.99.
The Sweet Spot, 8448 W. Central, 316-260-4999: A buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that is $35.99 for adults. Make reservations at exploretock.com/thesweetspot/ or by phone.
Twelve, 12111 W. Maple, 316-440-2812: This west-side restaurant is offering a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that is $38.50 for adults, $15.90 for children ages 6-12, and free for $5 and under.
Two Brothers BBQ & Sports Grill, 6730 W. Central, 316-440-4077: This restaurant is offering a barbecue and breakfast brunch buffet that will include made-to-order omelets, a salad bar, barbecue and more from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s $25 for adults, $19 for seniors or $15 for the breakfast bar alone. Price for ages 3 to 11 is $1.75 times their age. Call for reservations.
Vora, 3252 E. Douglas, 316-977-9277: This upscale restaurant’s Father’s Day brunch buffet runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is $38 for adults, $15 for children ages 4 to 11. Call for reservations. The restaurant also will serve a limited dinner menu starting at 4 p.m., and gift cards will be 20% off on Father’s Day.
YaYa’s Eurobistro, 8115 E. 21st St., 316-634-1000: A Father’s Day brunch buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is $40 for adults, $20 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under. Remaining reservations are limited so call to check on availability.
Discounts and giveaways
Bricktown Brewery, 2142 N. Tyler Road, 316-613-2719 and 2035 N. Rock Road, 316-440-3438: Dads who dine in will get a special pint glass and a $10 gift certificate while supplies last. Gift cards are good for future visits and expire on July 30.
The Hill Bar & Grill, 4800 E Douglas, 316-201-1190 Customers who purchase gift cards on Father’s Day will get 20% off. Cards can be ordered in-store or online. The deal is also offered Vora. (See above)
J. Rae’s Bakery, 2357 N Maize Road, 316-721-0090: This bakery is offering $20 Father’s Day cookie cakes. Stop by or call to order.
Sazon Mexican Restaurant, 2624 E 21st St., 316-794-0926 : Those who eat at the restaurant can sign up for a grill giveaway. The winner will be chosen at the end of the day on Sunday. The restaurant also will be offering $4.99 micheladas.
Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, 2661 N. Maize Road, 316-910-4200: Dads get $1 domestic pints on Father’s Day. Limit two.
