The Wienermobile is in town, and its crew would ‘relish’ a chance to ‘meat’ you

Wichita: Your chance to ketchup with the world’s largest rolling wiener — the famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile — has arrived.

The 27-foot-long hot dog hot rod is in town, and on Wednesday, it stopped by The Wichita Eagle offices in Old Town Square to accept admirers.

In the coming days, it’ll be stationed at various spots around town (the schedule is below), and the “hotdoggers” who pilot it across the country will provide photo ops and wiener whistles to those who visit. In a news release, the crew members — who go by Sauerkraut Kat and Cookout Christian — said they’d “relish” the opportunity to “meat” Wichita fans.

“You’re probably going to see us a lot around Wichita, and definitely honk if you do,” Sauerkraut Kat said on Wednesday..

Here’s where the Wienermobile will be:

Cyclists with the group WOW (Women of Wednesday) pose in front of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile while it stopped in Old Town. The Weinermobile will be at various events in Wichita through Nov. 14.
