The Old Town Farmer’s Market will be over for the season when it closes on Saturday, and its organizers are inviting attendees to say goodbye until next year with bellies full of warm soup.
The market is teaming up with the organizers of Wichita Restaurant Week to offer free samples of soup from several local restaurants. The soup samples will start at 9 a.m. and be served until they run out.
Public at the Brickyard will have Cheddar ale soup. Doo-Dah Diner will be serving cream of mushroom. Harvest Kitchen & Bar will serve potato. And Cow & Sow Deli and Eurest Dining Services also will bring soups.
The Old Town Farmer’s Market is from 8 a.m. to noon in the Farm & Art Market Square, First and Mosley. Find more information on the market’s Facebook page.
