Intrust Bank Arena announces concert featuring lots of 1990s hip-hop stars
Intrust Bank Arena will be the site in August of a mega concert featuring several old-school rap and hip-hop acts from the West Coast, including co-headliners Ice Cube and Cypress Hill.
Also on the bill for the Aug. 26 concert: Bone Thugs N Harmony and Ying Yang Twins.
Tickets for the show, titled West Fest, go on sale at 10 a.m. on July 15 and will be available at www.selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena. A limited number of Ice Cube VIP meet-and-greet packages also will be available.
The arena and promoters did not provide ticket prices.
Ice Cube is a celebrated actor and rapper who starred in movies like “Boyz n The Hood” and “Friday.” He’s known for hits like “Check Yo Self.” Cypress Hill, a California based hip-hop group, hit it big in the 1990s and is known for songs like “Insane in the Brain.”
