A 2022 list of Wichita restaurants offering special Mother’s Day brunches on Sunday
May can get distracting with the end of school, graduations and — this year anyway — severe weather events.
But even with all the insanity, it’s best not to forget mom. Mother’s Day has again sneaked up, and it’s time to make brunch reservations. Several Wichita restaurants are serving lavish brunch buffets and plated brunches. Additionally, some popular brunch spots will be adding specials to their menus.
If you want to celebrate mom and all she has done for you over the past year, here is a guide to where you can do that with food.

Brunch buffets
6S Steakhouse, 6200 W. 21st St., 316-361-6667: Offering a Mother’s Day brunch buffet served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that’s $39 for adults and $19 for children 11 and under. The restaurant also will offer its full dinner menu from 4 to 8 p.m. Moms receive a special gift. Make reservations at www.6ssteakhouse.com
Chisholm’s American Beef & Ale House, inside the DoubleTree by Hilton, 2098 S. Airport Road, 316-945-1966: Buffet served from noon to 4 p.m. It’s $39.95 for adults, $33.95 for seniors and $24.95 for children ages 6-12. Call for reservations.
Doo-Dah Diner, 206 E. Kellogg, 316-265-7011: Brunch buffet It’s $32.99 for adults, $16.99 for ages 6-10 and 75 and older, free for ages 5 and under. It will include prime rib, breakfast items and more. The diner will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Call for reservations.
The Greens at Terradyne, 1400 Terradyne St., Andover, 316-425-1999, extension 203: Mother’s Day brunch buffet is $25 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under. Reservation times available at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Reservations required.
Larkspur, 904 E. Douglas, 316-262-5275: Offering a Mother’s Day buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that’s $40 for adults, $20 for children 12 and under. Also serving $7 bloody Marys and mimosas. Reservations recommended.
La Vela Event Venue, 6147 E 13th St., 316-684-7281: The venue next to the Candle Club will offer a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that includes prime rib, breakfast and lunch items, and live music by Patz. It’s $30 for adults, $15 for children. Call for reservations.
Newport Grill, 1900 N. Rock Road, 316-636-9555: Brunch buffet will be served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is $35 for adults, $15 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and under.
Siena Tuscan Steakhouse, inside the Ambassador Hotel, 104 S. Broadway, 316-440-5300: Serving a Mother’s Day brunch buffet that includes four buffet stations plus a bloody Mary and mimosa bar. Also: music from Harrison Steele and a photo booth. Seatings still available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Price is $41.95 for adults, $19.95 for children.
Tanya’s Soup Kitchen, 1725 E. Douglas, 316-267-7687: Brunch buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include items like smoked ham, herb-roasted salmon and mac and cheese. Bottomless mimosas also will be served. It’s $32.50 a person, and reservations are required.
Twelve, 12111 W. Maple, 316-440-2812: Serving a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that includes roasted pork loin, a raw bar with oysters, crab claws and shrimp cocktail, and more. It’s $37.90 for adults, $16.50 for children ages 6-12.
Two Brothers BBQ & Sports Grill, 6730 W. Central, 316-440-4077: Barbecue and breakfast brunch buffet served 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It’s $22 a person or $14 for the breakfast bar alone. Price for ages 3 to 11 is $1.50 times their age.
YaYa’s Eurobistro, 8115 E. 21st St., 316-634-1000: Serving an Mothers Day brunch buffet with seatings at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. that’s $40 for adults, $19.95 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and under. Call for reservations.
Plated brunches
AVI/Corporate Caterers, 135 N. Waco, 316-262-3300: Offering a Mother’s Day four-course meal served from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. that will include appetizer, soup or salad, entree with sides, and dessert. Price is $28 or $39, depending on entree selection. An a la carte menu also will be offered, as will kids’ menu. Call for reservations or email info@aviwichita.com.
The Belmont, 3555 E. Douglas. 316-477-3555: Serving plated brunch menu on Mother’s Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Chicken N Pickle, 1240 N. Greenwich, 316-535-7150 This restaurant and pickle ball venue will offer several Mother’s Day specials from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, including croque madame skillet, grilled salmon and a mimosa bar.
First Mile Kitchen, 2141 N. Bradley Fair Parkway, 316-358-0130: Brunch served from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. will feature several Mother’s Day specials including sweet potato gnocchi. Call for reservations or visit resy.com
Georges French Bistro, 4816 E. Central, 316-831-1325 : Serving Mother’s Day brunch from a special menu from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations recommended on OpenTable or by phone.
Napoli Italian Eatery, 7718 E. 37th St. North, 316-260-5859: This Italian restaurant will serve a Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Call for reservations.
Public at the Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island, 316-263-4044: The restaurant will serve salmon Benedict as a brunch special and will also offer dessert specials and $5 mimosas. Sterling Gray will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations recommended.
Scotch & Sirloin, 5325 E. Kellogg, 316-685-8701: Offering a plated Mother’s Day menu served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. that’s $55 a person and includes choice of shareable appetizer, choice of salad and choice of entree with choices like filet mignon, prime rib and chimichurri chicken. Drink specials also will be available.
Special Mother’s Day gifts/freebies
Bricktown Brewery, 2142 N. Tyler Road, 2035 N. Rock Road: Moms who visit on Sunday will get a Bricktown Brewery Mother’s Day pint glass and $10 toward their next visit.
Jimmie’s Diner, 3111 N. Rock Road, 1519 George Washington: Moms get free strawberry shortcake with their meals.
La Hacienda, 5905 W. Kellogg. 1138 N. Nelson Drive, Derby: The first 150 moms in the restaurant starting at 11 a.m. get a free rose. A mariachi band will also perform in the restaurant from noon to 2 p.m.
