Green beer will flow, bag pipes will blow at Wichita St. Patrick’s Day events
For the third year in a row, COVID-19 concerns have robbed Wichita of one of its most popular annual events — the raucous St. Patrick’s Day parade that always flooded West Douglas in a sea of green.
And although the big party will be missed, its absence won’t cancel St. Patrick’s Day in Wichita. Several bars and restaurants are going forward this year with parties and food specials that are intended to lure out Wichita’s inner leprechaun. Many are on March 17, but several local businesses are starting early with “Fake Patty’s Day” parties this weekend.
Here’s a list of places where green beer will be flowing and corned beef and cabbage will be simmering.
