Louisiana transplants behind Wichita’s Da Cajun Shak opening a fourth local restaurant
The Granger family’s Wichita restaurant footprint is growing again.
On Friday, Tim Granger opened a third location of Da Chicken Shak & More at 3920 E. Harry, just in front of Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph hospital.
It’ll be the fourth local restaurant for the Grangers. Chris and Patty, Louisiana transplants, along with son Tim started Da Cajun Shak at 21st and Woodlawn back in 2005.
They opened their first two Da Chicken Shak restaurants in 2018 (2428 W. 13th St.) and 2019 (1112 W. 31st Street South.) The restaurants focus on 99-cent chicken tenders, fried catfish and many of the fried items from Da Cajun Shak’s menu.
The hours at the new restaurant will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. It’ll be closed on Sundays.
All of the Granger family restaurants are now reopen for dine-in service.
