Wichita’s newest steak house chain is now open

The first Saltgrass Steak House in Kansas is now open at 2624 Greenwich Road.

The restaurant, which sits right at the entrance of the Greenwich Place Shopping Center and K-96 and Greenwich Road, quietly opened at 11 a.m. today and will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

It’s in the same fast-growing development where Dave & Buster’s opened a few weeks ago.

It’s part of a chain that has 85 restaurants across the country. It has a menu that will be familiar to people who frequent other steak house chains in Wichita and includes sandwiches, salads, burgers, steaks and seafood dishes. Its steaks are char-grilled on an open flame and topped with garlic butter, and the restaurant serves its own beer bread free before the meal.

The bar offers a happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, when customers can get discounted appetizers like queso fresco, cheese fries, fried mushrooms and more. Select drinks also will be on sale during happy hour.

The interior is decorated to look like a country home with wood tables and chairs, leather seating and limestone.

You can inspect both the lunch and dinner menus below.

For more information, call the restaurant at 316-330-2820.
