Fans have been waiting since January for this Wichita restaurant to reopen
The long wait for Vietnamese restaurant My Tho to reopen ends this week.
The restaurant at 500 E. Central, which closed in early January, will reopen on Thursday.
Fans of the restaurant’s pho and banh mi sandwiches have been on My Tho watch since a sign went up in early January saying the restaurant was closed because of a family emergency.
Phung Van, whose parents own the restaurant, said they are eager to get back to work and will spend the week cooking, cleaning and preparing to welcome customers back.
My Tho’s hours are kind of unusual: They’re open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays through Sundays. They’re closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
