I have two pairs of tickets to Thursday night’s Cajun Food Fest at the Wichita Riverfest, so if you love chicken etouffee, red beans and sausage and gumbo, you’ll want to pay attention.
The 29th annual event, a fundraiser for Goodwill Industries, will happen from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday on Kennedy Plaza. Attendees get big portions of the above listed entrees plus a piece of crusty French bread for $8. They can add bread pudding for $3 or buy the whole deal for $10. These tickets I have are good just for the main entrees.
The event als includes music by bands Big Red Horse, the Monophonics and Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires.
Be advised that a $10 Riverfest button is required for admission to the Cajun Food Fest, but Thursday is “throwback Thursday,” meaning that any official Riverfest button from the past will work.
