Riverfest to offer free ‘business lunch’ admission on Friday

Say you’re one of those people who desperately wants a Riverfest funnel cake but has no plans to attend the event beyond that.

Friday is your lucky day. The Wichita Riverfest, which opens for its nine-day run on Friday, is allowing free admission from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. It’s the only time people won’t need a $10 Riverfest button to enter the gates.

Those interested in taking part should enter at the north or south food court gates to receive a bracelet for free admission.

Want to know what to eat at the festival? I recommend anything from Tad’s Bodacious Burritos, fried pickles and red velvet funnel cakes.
