Wichita’s latest chicken restaurant opened on Wednesday at K-96 and Greenwich, just to the west of Cavender’s and in the same vicinity as Blaze Pizza and Freezing Moo.
But franchisee Kevin Breshears says that his new Buffalo Wings & Rings is not like all the other chicken restaurants that have opened in Wichita lately.
“What’s going to set us apart from everyone else is the quality of food and our commitment to hospitality,” he said. “We want everyone to feel like a VIP.”

People love the restaurant’s wings, Breshears said, which come bone-in or boneless with different levels of heat and a choice of many sauces. The chain, based in Ohio, is also known for its onion rings (hence the “rings” in the name) and its unique appetizers, such as the potato pile-on, a serving of five oversized bacon- and cheese-stuff tater tots.
The dining room is huge and seats 210, and every set has a view of one of the restaurant’s 37 television sets, 10 of which are 80 inches. Breshears said they’ll air a variety of different sporting events and customers are free to ask their servers to change the channel to their game of choice.
The restaurant is family-friendly, he said. It has a $7.99 lunch menu that includes a full-sized entree and a side, and it has a full bar with 16 beers on tap, eight of which are local.
Breshears, who is partnered with Zac Blue and Randy Blue, said that his company, Get Sauced LLC, has signed a three-unit deal with the restaurant chain. He and his partners hope to open a second Buffalo Wings & Rings in the New Market Square area within 18 months. Their third will likely be in Derby, he said.
The hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The address is 2636 N. Greenwich Ct. and the phone number is 316-999-9464.
