It’s National Pie Day: Here’s where to get free pie in Wichita
It’s National Pie Day, and a couple of Wichita restaurants want to give you a slice for free. Others are offering price breaks.
Here’s where you can go to celebrate all things crust, fruit and cream.
Livingston’s Diner, 9747 E. 21st St.: The east-side diner is offering a free slice of pie to people who purchase dinner and a beverage during its happy hour, which is 3 to 8 p.m. Of course, Livingston’s is in the free pie business. It offers this deal every Tuesday through Saturday.
Spear’s Restaurant and Pie Shop, 4323 W. Maple: Thursdays are free pie days at Spear’s, where customers can get a free slice with every meal purchase. But this week, the restaurant will do the deal on Tuesday, too, to celebrate the big day. Spear’s also is offering a deal on whole pies for the day. They’ll cost $7.95 apiece.
Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies, 1542 E. 61st St. North: The new fried pie shop in Park City is offering $1 off all of its pies today in honor of National Pie Day.
Village Inn: This breakfast chain’s weekly free pie day is Wednesday. But today, it’s offering $2 off whole pies in honor of the big pie day. Wichita has Village Inn restaurants at 7020 W. Central, 3535 S. Meridian, 1685 S. Rock Road and at 1200 N. Rock Road in Derby.
