Fuji Japanese Grill & Sushi open in old Yamasa space

A new restaurant just opened in the space at 327 N. Hillside that formerly was home to Yamasa Japanese Grill, which closed late last year.

Fuji Japanese Grill & Sushi is owned by Lin Daniel and his wife, Chen Hong. It had its grand opening on Friday. Like Yamasa, it’s a fast-service restaurant where customers order at the counter.

The restaurant has its long menu posted on its Facebook page, and it includes a long list of sushi rolls plus appetizers, salads, teriyaki dishes and several yakisoba noodle dishes. They’re cooked without MSG, according to the menu.

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 1 to 8 p.m. Sundays.
