They had me at pork shoulder.

Delano businesses All Things Barbecue and its neighbor, Bicycle X-Change, are teaming up with the American Diabetes Association for a delicious Saturday afternoon fundraiser.

Yoder Smokers will be at All Things Barbecue, 818 W. Douglas, cooking pork shoulders all afternoon on the patio. Starting at noon, the shop will start serving pork shoulder sandwiches along with coleslaw, baked beans and a bottle of water for $6. Sodas will be $1 extra. They’ll keep serving until it’s gone, though organizers predict the food will last through 4 p.m.

Those who want to participate in an easy training ride through the bike paths in Riverside Park before lunch, led by employees from Bicycle X-Change, should meet at 11 a.m. in the parking lot behind All Things Barbecue. The ride will last about an hour. All proceeds from sandwich sales will be donated to the American Diabetes Association. For more information, call 316-440-3950.
