The latest Wichita chef shuffle is complete now that the Candle Club has found someone to replace Jeremy Wade.
JD Harvey has been hired as the new executive chef at the private Candle Club, 6135 E 13th St. N.
Harvey has more than 20 years of restaurant experience, said owner Judah Craig. He has worked in restaurants including the Anchor and Deano’s. He also once worked as the executive chef at Cibola, a fine dining restaurant that used to operate in the Newport Grill space at Bradley Fair and closed in 2009.
The latest shuffle started when Chef Ben George quit his job at Siena Tuscan Steakhouse to take over as head chef at Intrust Bank Arena, a job vacated when Kasey Thexton left town for another job. Wade, who was at the Candle Club, was hired to replace George.
