Those still desperately searching for solar glasses to safely view Monday’s solar eclipse have an unlikely Sunday champion.

It seems that Central Standard Brewing, the popular Wichita craft beer maker at 156 S. Greenwood, has come into a large shipment of the glasses. And they’re the approved, safe ones that are certified ISO 12312-2.

The brewery, which is open today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., is selling its glasses for $10 a pair. There’s no limit on how many you can buy. The brewery is not price gouging, said Sumer Crane, co-owner. They came across the last-minute deal from a retailer in the region and paid a higher price to get them.

And if a line forms? No biggie. You can get $1 off crowlers today, so you can sip while you wait.

The glasses have been in demand around Wichita, and no one seems to have them. A line formed outside of Imagine That Toys earlier this week, with desperate shoppers waiting hours to get a pair.

Questions? You can reach Central Standard at 316-260-8515.
