Looks like that’s happened.
Yassine and manager Eric King recently added dinner service to the diner at 1220 W. Douglas, and now they’ve just introduced an extensive new dinner menu that will be offered from 4 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
It lists several salads, from a Caesar to a Southwest salad, sandwiches like patty melts and gyros, and “Delano Mex” dishes like beef tacos and fajita steak quesadillas. There’s also a selection of pastas, including lasagna and cheese manicotti, plus entrees like bacon-wrapped filet, country fried steak, chicken mutard and meatloaf.

There’s also a daily “blue plate” special: Mondays are meatloaf, Tuesdays are tacos, Wednesdays are chicken fried chicken, Thursdays are bacon-wrapped filets and Fridays are catfish and hush puppies.
The restaurant’s breakfast menu won’t be available in the evenings, but the dinner menu includes several breakfast-y selections like steak and eggs, a steak omelet and country fried steak and eggs.
Delano’s Diners hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays.
