Food trucks, it appears, are quite flammable.

El Pollo Dorado al Carbon, a taco truck that has operated on the corner of 21st and Wellington Place for years, burned last week in a fire. The dramatic photos of the aftermath are on the truck’s Facebook page.

A post about the fire says that the owners will temporarily sell their tacos and other Mexican food out of Carniceria Mexicana at 31st Street South and Hillside. I have a call in to the owners and will let you know if I hear back about rebuilding plans.

This is the second food truck fire in Wichita in six months. In October, the Park n Pork BBQ truck was destroyed in a fire. Owners Jennifer and Brad Vieux recently announced on Facebook that they’d decided not to rebuild the truck. Initially, they’d planned to reopen.
