The Blarney Breakfast, the annual celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, charity and breakfast food, is turning 40 this year. And organizers are asking people to help reminisce about the longstanding event.

The breakfast, a fundraiser for Rainbows United, is scheduled for 6 to 9:30 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, at the east-side Old Chicago. It invites patrons to feast on breakfast food and coffee while accompanied by bagpipers and Irish dancers.

Organizers want to use photos of people enjoying the breakfast during the past 40 yeas in their promotional materials, and they’re asking past visitors to e-mail them. If you have some, send them to BlarneyPhotos@rui.org or post them to the 40th Annual Blarney Breakfast Event Page on Facebook.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12. They can be purchased online at RainbowsUnited.org. Proceeds benefit children with special needs served through Rainbows’ Targeted Case Management.
