Martina McBride will perform at Salina’s Stiefel in September

Country star and Kansas native Martina McBride will return to her home state in September for a concert at Salina’s Stiefel Theatre.

McBride, whose biggest hits include “Independence Day” and “Broken Wing,” will perform on Sept. 23. Tickets to the show, which are $79 and $129, will go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday.

She last performed at the Stiefel in May 2014, when she performed the opening date of her “Everlasting” tour, and the show was a sell-out.

McBride was born in Sharon in Barber County and performed in night clubs around Wichita before she was famous.
