The Avett Brothers to play at Intrust Bank Arena in February

The Avett Brothers, a band known for its blend of folk, country and indie rock, is returning to Wichita and will play at Intrust Bank Arena in February, arena officials confirmed Friday morning.

The band, which announced its tour dates on its website Friday morning, will perform Feb. 26 at Intrust. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 and will be $34.50, $39.50, $44.50. They’ll be available at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, at Select-A-Seat outlets, by calling 316-755-7328 or at www.selectaseat.com.

The Avett Brothers previously performed a sold-out show at the Wichita Orpheum Theatre in March 2012.

The Avett Brothers, which formed in 2000 in Concord, N.C., features brothers Scott and Seth Avett. Their band began performing in small clubs in the Southeast but soon rose to prominence and now fills arenas around the world with its trademark acoustic sounds.
