‘Maltese Falcon Music Tasting’

In association with The Big Read, the staff of Wichita Public Radio is putting on “The Maltese Falcon Music Tasting” at Candela at The Lux, 120 E. First St., on Thursday. During the event, the book and film “The Maltese Falcon” will be discussed, and a Wichita State University jazz professor will offer a sampling of the music that made up the films of the era. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in 1930s-era clothing, dance and enjoy drinks and snacks. It’s from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $15 in advance on the KMUW Maltese Falcon Music Tasting Facebook page or $20 at the door.
