Fundraiser at the Shamrock
A fundraiser for local musician Bob Dorman, who is fighting cancer, is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Shamrock, 1724 W. Douglas. The event, called “For the Love of Bob,” will feature performances by Split Lip Rayfield, the Macy Brothers, the Kentucky Gentlemen, Midnight Special and Kool Kat Daddy, which is Dorman’s band. Here Come the Mummies at the Cotillion
Here Come the Mummies, a funk band whose members appear dressed as fully bandaged mummies, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cotillion, 11127 W. Kellogg. Doors for the show, which is open to all ages, open at 7 p.m. The opening act is Jared Mitchell.
