Send us photos of you and your ugly holiday sweater

They’re tacky to some but a piece of art to others. Whether they’re decked out in reindeer, lights or some other fashion atrocity, ugly holiday sweaters have become trendy. Ugly-sweater parties are popping up everywhere, stores are dedicated to them, and there was even an ugly sweater run at Newman University earlier this month. So break out your ugliest, tackiest – yet beloved – holiday sweater, snap a photo of you in it (your face and the sweater should be in full view) and send it to us for a chance to win a $100 gift card. We’ll put the photos on our digital platforms and may print some in the newspaper.

Eagle staff members will choose the winner. The contest is open to Wichita-area residents. Send your name, city and a high-resolution photo with a few sentences about what’s so special about your sweater to  aharris@wichitaeagle.com. Please put “ugly sweater” in the subject line. Deadline is noon Dec. 11.
