Thanksgiving foods by state
The best meal of the year is just nine days away. While waiting patiently to descend upon the turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans and plenty of pie to come on Nov. 24, here’s a look at Thanksgiving food via Google searches.
To anyone eating grill turkey or braise turkey, it appears your meal is a bit more unique than the rest of us – at least based off Google searches. Most states searched smoke turkey, roast turkey and the occasional fry turkey.
Kansas, and most other states rightfully searched pumpkin pie more than any other pie flavor. This is Thanksgiving after all.
Prime rib snagged a spot as the fourth-most searched Thanksgiving recipe when turkey didn’t even make the cut.
After the food coma of Thanksgiving day, some will whether the shopping crowds of Black Friday.
