10 fun things to do in Wichita this weekend (July 6-8)
We're nearly done with a rather strange week.
I don't know about you, but I'd prefer the Fourth of July not fall on a Wednesday again — while the hump day holiday was nice, it felt strange coming back to work the day after.
Regardless, it's the weekend now, and you know what that means: another top 10 list of things to do in town.

FREE: Wichita Tennis Open

Getting Wimbledon fever? Here’s a way to whet your appetite for great tennis – right here in Wichita. The United States Tennis Association is hosting the Wichita Tennis Open, a men’s professional tournament, at Wichita State’s Coleman Tennis Complex this weekend. Admission is free all weekend, and there are a variety of events planned, including a fashion show Friday night and “cardio tennis” Saturday morning. The championship will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday.

FREE: KEYN summer concert series starts
8-11 p.m. Fri., WaterWalk, 515 S. Main
KEYN is kicking off its summer concert series Friday with a show by King Midas and the Muflers at the WaterWalk. The band, which formed in 1965, hearkens back to the days of James Brown, Wilson Picket, Buddy Holly and Elvis. Bring along your family and blankets or lawn chairs. No pets allowed. Doors and food trucks open at 6:30 p.m.

Jersey ‘Hot Comic’ at The Loony Bin
8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Fri., 7:30 and 10 p.m. Sat., Loony Bin Comedy Club, 215 N. St. Francis
New Jersey-based comedian Jersey “Hot Comic” will perform a series of standup shows at the Loony Bin this weekend. The comedian is well-known in Orlando, and has made appearances on TV shows and music videos.

FREE: Yoga in the Park
8:30-9:30 a.m. Sat., Central Riverside Park, 720 N. Nims
If “get fit” is your mantra, then come strike – and hold – a pose at Yoga in the Park. Instructors from Wichita Park & Recreation and Genesis Health Clubs will lead this free event. Bring your own mat. Water is provided. No pets allowed. For ages 16 and older.

FC Wichita Double-Header

FC Wichita looks to continue its winning ways this season with a double-header this Saturday, featuring both its men’s and women’s teams. The women’s team plays Fortuna Tulsa at 4 p.m., and the men’s team plays the Demize team out of Springfield, Mo., at 7:30 p.m. Donations taken at the gate for Catholic Charities.

Ratt and Quiet Riot at the Kansas Star

Ratt was an iconic part of the early 1980s Los Angeles glam metal scene, and now you can relive that poofy-haired part of rock history. Ratt, along with special guest Quiet Riot, are coming to the Kansas Star Casino. Hear them play “Round and Round,” “Lay It Down” and other hits Saturday.

'Defying Gravity: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz' at MTW

Tee Grizzley at The Cotillion

Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley is coming to The Cotillion Saturday. The 24-year-old college dropout-turner-rapper is touring behind his debut studio album, “Activated,” which was released in May. It features appearances from Lil Pump, Lil Yachty and others, and acts as a showcase for the rapper’s sound – a melting pot of catchy trap music.

Adult Skate Night at Carousel
