William Shatner to perform in Wichita
Beam us up – Captain Kirk is coming to town.
William Shatner will perform a one-man show at the Wichita Orpheum Theatre on Nov. 3, the theater announced Monday.
The show – “Shatner’s World: We Just Live In It” – will take “audiences on a voyage through his life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to international icon,” according to a news release.
Tickets range from $59.50 to $125.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.selectaseat.com, 855-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat Box Office at Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman.
Shatner, 86, is best known for playing Captain Kirk in the “Star Trek” series, but has also starred in Priceline commercials in recent years, as well as “Rescue 911” and “Third Rock From the Sun.”
Shatner previously performed his one-man show for one night only on Broadway – the show was subsequently simulcast to movie theaters across the country.
A couple years ago, Shatner passed through Wichita on a three-wheeled motorcycle on his way from Kansas City to Oklahoma City.
