Need to escape from a Thanksgiving gathering? Many bars will be open

We’ve all been there.

Family get-togethers at Thanksgiving can bring lots of joy, but they can also bring lots of stress.

Sometimes, when the rest of the family is napping off their turkey comas or heading out shopping, you just need to get out for a bit.

Thankfully, there are some bars in the area that sympathize.

Or, why not bring some of the family for a visit with your long-lost uncle, Jack Daniels?

Or, if you’re out shopping the early Black Friday deals, you can blow off some steam afterward with a cold drink.

Many of Wichita’s bars will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but here are a few that will be open. I may have missed a couple – if you’re wondering whether your favorite bar will be open, it’s best to call.
