Two authors to read from, sign new books at Watermark Books
Watermark Books & Cafe will present two authors this week who will read from and sign their latest books.
On Monday, Watermark, in cooperation with Abode Venue, will host Augusten Burroughs for a 6 p.m. reading and signing of his book “Lust and Wonder” at Abode Venue, 1330 E. Douglas, in the Douglas Design District.
The event is ticketed. Each ticket is $30 and comes with a copy of “Lust and Wonder.” Tickets can be ordered online at watermarkbooks.com or in the store at 4701 E. Douglas.
“Lust and Wonder” chronicles the development and demise of the different relationships Burroughs had while living in New York. In it, he examines what it means to be in love, what it means to be in lust, and what it means to be figuring it all out.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Philip Donlay will be on hand to read from and sign copies of “Pegasus Down,” a Donovan Nash novel. A political thriller, the book starts when a CIA-operated jet on a clandestine mission disappears in Eastern Europe with no known survivors. The event is free and will be at Watermark Books & Cafe.
