Writing about Kansas, written by Kansans (March 20)

“Marigold” (King Shot Press, 138 pages, $9.99) by Troy James Weaver has just been released. He is a Wichita writer who received acclaim for his 2015 fiction release “Witchita Stories.” “Marigold” is described as a tragicomedy about a floral salesman who searches for reasons for living. “Weaver’s writing is punchy and punk, with flashes of brilliance for those who connect with the sentiment of his words,” says Wichita public librarian Racine Zackula. “This is my subtle way of saying that it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.”
