ArtDOG calls out the donors

ArtDOG — the third annual Art Day of Giving — will be April 29 in Wichita.

The event is sponsored by the Wichita Community Foundation to give arts organizations — 57 this year — exposure and to raise money for them.

The way it works: Go to ICTArtDog.org on April 29 and donate to any of the arts organizations listed or donate to a pool that will be distributed among them. While you’re there, check out events that the organizations have going on that day to give people a taste of what they do.

Last year, $1.17 million was donated to 55 organizations by 1,015 donors during ArtDOG. The dollar amount was 47 percent more than was given in 2014, the first year of the event.
