Wichita Women arts show, ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ Texas A&M University Singing Cadets

CityArts, 334 N. Mead, will be hosting an art show from the Wichita Women Artists Group that will showcase works from more than 40 local female artists. “Wichita Women Artists Celebrating 65 Years” will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday through Jan. 24. ‘The Wizard of Oz’

Dorothy and the rest of the cast of “The Wizard of Oz” will hit the stage at the Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Clinic, 201 S. Lulu. The stage show is an adaptation of the original novel, not the 1939 film. Tickets are $6 or $7.50 with pizza. Performances are at noon Wednesday and Jan. 17; 10 a.m. and noon Thursday; and 10 a.m., noon and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16. Pizza is offered 30 minutes before the noon and 6:30 p.m. shows. Texas A&M University Singing Cadets

East Heights United Methodist Church will host the Texas A&M University Singing Cadets, an all-male chorus, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The chorus will sing religious, patriotic, Broadway and school songs in the church’s sanctuary. The church is at 4407 E. Douglas. Admission is free.
