More than 30 vendors of sneakers, fashion and art will be part of the I Got Sole event Saturday at the Beech Activity Center, 9710 E. Central. People can buy, sell and trade sneakers during the fourth year for the family event, presented by K-Push Entertainment and 316 Kixx. DJ Knect will provide music, and graffiti artists will be at work. There will be contests for best sneaker, best female sneaker and best kids’ costumes. Lightly worn sneakers can be donated for those in need. Hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance at Welldone Skate Supply, 617 W. Douglas, or $15 the day of the show, $5 for kids 10 and under. More information: www.ictgotsole.com.

‘Beauty’ and dinner

Collegiate School will put on a dinner, dessert auction and performance of “Beauty and the Beast” at the school on Saturday evening as a fundraiser for the upper school. The night starts with dinner at 5:30 and an auction of desserts (and more), followed by a high school production of “Beauty and the Beast” at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Contemporary brass

The Friends Faculty Brass Quintet will perform a program of music by contemporary composers, including Ewazen, Young and Cheetham as well as the Quintet for Brass by Robert Washburn, on Sunday afternoon. The concert will be at 3 p.m. in the Riney Fine Art Center’s Sebits Auditorium on campus and is free and open to the public. For more information, call 316-295-5677.
