Night of Treasures, Chamber Music at the Barn, Elizabeth Little appearance

Party with the dinosaurs

The Museum of World Treasures will take its annual Night of Treasures fundraiser to the dinosaurs on Saturday night. The party will have a Jurassic-era theme among the prehistoric dinosaurs and fossils on display at the museum. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served for those paying general admission starting at 7 p.m. There also will be a silent auction, and the local band Lucky People will perform at 9 p.m. General admission is $75; a $100 ticket also gives admission to a happy hour that starts at 6. Barn’s season-ender

Chamber Music at the Barn will wrap up its season next week with Wichita’s Orfeo Trio performing Shostakovich’s World War II-era Piano Trio No. 2 and Faure’s beloved Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 15. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 31 and Aug. 1 at Prairie Pines, 4055 N. Tyler Road. Tickets range from $12 to $32 for the concert only, and $27 to $47 for concert and dinner, which starts at 6:30 p.m. Buy tickets online at www.cmatb.org or by calling 316-721-7666.

Elizabeth Little at Watermark

Elizabeth Little will be at Watermark Books & Cafe on Wednesday evening to read from her debut novel, the thriller “Dear Daughter,” and sign copies. Her appearance starts at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
