Cirque du Soleil show to play at Intrust Bank Arena in January

Cirque du Soleil will present its newest arena show, Varekai, at Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena for seven performances in January, the venue announced Thursday.

Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14 through 17; an additional 4 p.m. show on Jan. 17 and 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 18. Tickets will be $35 to $100.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 10 by calling 1-855-755-7328, at the Intrust Bank Arena box office or at participating Dillons locations, or by visiting www.cirquedusoleil.com/varekai. Advance tickets are available now to Cirque Club members at www.cirqueclub.com.

Varekai which means “wherever” in the Romany language of the gypsies, tells the story of a young man who is parachuted into the shadows of a magical forest. Cirque du Soleil will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year.
