Weekend events: George Thorogood, Twilight Garden Tour

George Thorogood at Orpheum

George Thorogood & The Destroyers will bring their tour to the Orpheum, 200 N. Broadway, on Saturday. The rockers are known for hits such as “Bad to the Bone,” “I Drink Alone” and “Who Do You Love.” The show starts at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7. WSU First Friday event

Experimental musicians will perform Friday at WSU’s student gallery Shift Space, 416 S. Commerce, Suite 102. Performers will include Gilded Flower, Dreamcrusher and Cleme. Some performances will contain flashing projections and high-pitched noises, so discretion is advised. Twilight Garden Tour

Scenic Landscapes Water Garden Nursery will be open from dusk to midnight Friday and Saturday for its annual Twilight Garden Tour. Visitors can tour the gardens, with more than 25 illuminated water features. The nursery at 5911 W. Maple will have hot dogs and other refreshments available during a family-friendly movie under the stars at 8 p.m. Friday. The Blue Note 6 with Kathy Roush will perform from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The event is free, though donations will be accepted for the Challenge Farm Orphanage in Kenya.
