Jester Awards, Art Fair & Classic Car Show, Annual World Bazaar

Jester Awards

Winning high school music-theater students will perform Friday night as they are honored in the annual Jester Awards Ceremony at the Orpheum, 200 N. Broadway. More than 2,500 students in 129 performances at 39 schools across the state were in the running for the awards, presented by Music Theatre Wichita. The leading male and female honoree each will receive a $2,500 scholarship. The ceremony is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, available at the door or by calling 316-265-3107.

Art Fair & Classic Car Show

The Wichita Center for the Arts will have its first annual Student/Faculty Art Fair on Friday and Saturday with a wide range of fine art in a variety of price ranges, along with food trucks and, on Saturday, a classic car show. Admission is free to the event that will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days at the center at 9112 E. Central. The car show will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The fine art for sale represents painting, drawing, printmaking, jewelry, sculpture, metal and ceramics. Seven food trucks – including Noble House Hawaiian Plate Lunch from Topeka, Let’m Eat Brats and Funky Monkey Munchies – will be on hand at different times from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Annual World Bazaar

The Muslim Community Center will have its Annual World Bazaar from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. There will be food, clothing and jewelry from around the world for sale, as well as crafts and henna artists. Admission is free. The center is at 6655 E. 34th St. North.
