Arts events: Falconaires concert, artisan market, Rouge at WAM
Seeing rouge at WAM
People will be seeing rouge (as in Moulin Rouge) at the annual Color Party on Saturday night at the Wichita Art Museum. The WAM Contemporaries – the art museum’s under-50 social crowd – are throwing the party to support the museum. The 8-to-11 p.m. event includes food, drink, music and dancing girls. Tickets are $140 online at wamcolorparty.com or by calling 316-268-4912. Oh, and be sure to dress in a shade of rouge.
Workroom artisan market
The Workroom will have its second annual Outdoor Artisan Market on Saturday in the Douglas Design District. The event will feature more than 30 local artisans as well as food trucks, live music and Davis Liquor sampling. The market will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 150 N. Cleveland at the storefront that features home decor, primarily made locally and regionally, and design services. Artwork, jewelry, children’s dolls and clothing, candles and soaps will be among the items at the market, which kicks off a season of markets that will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each second Saturday through October at The Workroom.
