Chappelle will perform two shows June 11 – one at 7 p.m. and another at 10 p.m., the Orpheum announced Wednesday.
According to the theater, the performances will be a strictly “no cell phones allowed” affair.
The venue is asking people who attend the Chappelle show to leave their phones in their cars or at home. Anyone who brings a cellphone will be required to place it in a locked pouch. Anyone caught with a cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected, according to the theater.
Chappelle is perhaps best known for his sketch comedy television series, “Chappelle’s Show,” which aired from 2003 to 2006. In the years since his show ended, he has returned to standup comedy.
Reserved tickets to the performances are $62.50.
