3 fun things to do in the Wichita area this weekend (Jan. 2 and 3)
It’s a fresh start, a clean slate, a new year. Venues and people are taking a break from holiday festivities this first weekend of 2016, but there are a few events going on in the Wichita area on Saturday and Sunday.
Three Kings Day community celebration, family event featuring cultural tables of Hispanic countries, crafts and music, treat bags for children and photos with the Three Wise Men, 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Extension Education Center, 21st and Ridge Road; free; food for sale for $5 a plate.
Last weekend for the “Design Zone” traveling exhibit at Exploration Place, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Exploration Place, 300 N. McLean Blvd.; included in admission; 316-660-0600, www.exploration.org.
